Ualtar Ridire Ban
- ruler of the Wyld Fae Army (aka General)
- A Faekin (Wyld Fae who can shape-shift) who is literally bred to be a protector & is loyal to death once he's given their service
- Came to the Royal Hawthorn Fae Court with the Crowned Princess Rhoswen (Aev’s Mother) of the Wyld Fae Court named Arachs Blood when she was married to the Fae King Valnir (Aev’s Father)
- Was named Royal Protector (aka Creche body guard) by Rhoswen when she had her first two kids
- is the only one who knows for certain that Rhoswen was pregnant with Aev before her kidnapping and raped by the elves (she lived long enough to give birth to Aev and then died which is why Ban has such a soft spot for Aev. The Fae King thinks Aev is elven but since she was born to his wife he has to claim her as his child. )
- Martial - can create armour & weapons out of magic but prefers to use silver because magic can be dispelled
- Wyld Fae magic is tied closely to the elements & his affinity is with earth, more specifically he can tap into stones & metal
- He could shape-shift into a barrow hound - it's this ability that was corrupted when he was cursed, so he became a death omen instead of a protector
